How a level works

The rule is the same as in a game of Crazy10s: every line you make must add up to exactly 10. How to play

A level’s start card: 3 moves, melt all 4 ice tiles, star targets of 80, 145 and 200 points, and three boosters to choose from A level in play: a small board with two red fuse tiles counting down, a rack of seven tiles, and the moves and score above it
  • A handful of movesEvery level gives you a set number of moves, and new tiles fill your rack after each one. Swapping tiles uses a move.
  • Three star targetsEach star is a score to reach. One star passes the level. Three usually means thinking a move or two ahead, because the biggest move right now is often not the best one.
  • Sometimes a goalSome levels ask for more than points: use every tile, melt the ice, cover the gold or defuse the fuses.

Squares and tiles that change the plan

New ones arrive chapter by chapter, and each is explained the first time you meet it.

A cracked stone blockStonesA stone blocks its square. No tile goes there, and a line stops at it.
A blue frozen tile with a snowflakeIce tilesA frozen tile melts when you make a line through it. Melt them all to pass.
A gold coin on a squareGold squaresPut a tile on every gold square to pass the level.
A glowing red tile with a countdown of 3Fuse tilesA fuse counts down every turn. Make a line through it before it reaches 0.

Stars pay off

Every star you earn counts toward something.

The end of a level: three stars, a win streak of 5 and star chests ready to open
  • Star chestsEvery 15 stars fill a chest with two or three boosters.
  • BoostersStart with a wild tile, take an extra move, or make your first swap free. You pick them before a level, and backing out doesn’t use them up.
  • Win streakPass three levels in a row and every level starts with a free ★ wild tile, for as long as the streak lasts.
